Airlines in Ecuador. There are loads of ways to move around Ecuador, as a matter of fact, if you hire a car that, I consider, is the best way to move around. However, if you are looking for less adventure and more predictable comfort, an airplane is the best option.
There are three main airlines in Ecuador, that offer domestic flights.
1. TAME:
This is the national airline of Ecuador, it was created as a governmental project and for several decades was managed by the Ecuadorian Air Force. Nowadays, is still part governmental and managed as a private company.
- Destinations: Guayaquil, Quito, Cuenca and also has 10 more domestic destination you can choose from.
- Price Range: $80 -$400
- Onboard Service: usually not offered, some depend on long flight destinations.

2. LATAM Ecuador:
They started its domestic flights in Ecuador in 2011, and since then it has been a strong competitor in the market. This is a subsidiary of the LATAM Chile, the biggest airline provider in South America.
- Destinations: Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Baltra and San Cristobal.
- Price Range: $80 – $400
- Onboard Service: usually a small snack, such as a personal chocolate and in longer flights a drink and a biscuit.

3. AVIANCA Ecuador:
This is a subsidiary of Avianca Colombia, and has been in Ecuador since 2013. Formerly known as Aerogal.
- Destinations: Guayaquil, Quito, Cuenca, Baltra, San Cristobal and Manta.
- Price Range: $80 – $400
- Onboard Service: a sandwich and a drink
