An era comes to an end and Tame stop flying Embraer definitely, those that were part of its active fleet since April 2006.
In order to unify the fleet to reduce its operating expenses and alsoén, reduce maintenance costs themselvesún the aerolínea in the Embraer fleet are más higher than the rest of your fleet, determinó after several yearsálysis and studies that the time of this avión in Tame has come to an end.
Your immediate replacement will beá covered by the fleet 3 ATR42-500 aircraft with capacity for 48 passengers.
The 2 Embraer 190 current ones stayed on the ground since the 8 from December to 2019 behind the úLast flight assigned between Manta and Quito, hoping to complete the purchase soon by a new ownerñor for parent aircraftíCGG and CGF, so the exact date they leave the país is aún uncertain, but being left out of this and relatively active as birdsóbackup number for possible contingencies until the 20 from December to 2019.
History of Embraer in Tame
They passed almost 14 añsince Tame EP I receivedó his first model Embraer 170 foodíHC-CEY and HC-CEX 25 march 2006, which alsoén was one of the first airplanes manufactured of this model and of which the aerolíEcuadorian company was a launch client in the regionón.
The letter of intentón between Embraer and Tame was signed in 2004 and in 2005 he concretized himselfó shopping in Sao José two fields, in the state of Sao Paulo.
In the contract of that time it was highlightedó the purchase of 2 Embraer aircraft 170 and an Embraer 190, with the intentionópurchase number 4 airplanesás from the same family later.
Para la operationón of these planes in Ecuador, the relationshipón between Tame and Embraer was fundamental, since the Brazilian manufacturerñor in close relationshipón with the airíEcuadorian line worked to carry out all the certification processesón of the aircraft that receivedén began to fly in the world.
Así they also arrivedén the Embraers 190 HC-CEZ (hilly) and time laterés the Erj 190 HC-CGG the HC-CGF.
The first Embraers were acquired after anáanalysis and study carried out in agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank – BID and the National Development Bank Económico and Social of Brazil.
The two remaining Embraer that were in intentionópurchase dates were not finalized, but yesí Others arrived second-hand with matríHC-COY and HC-COX cylinders (hilly) both leased, uno con intenciópurchase number, but they were incorporated as a replacement for the first two Embraers 170 that were sold to Aeroméxico during the 2015.
From the Embraer fleet 190 of Tame who in his best moment cameó to be composed of 5 aircraft of which two were Erj-170 and 3 Erj-190, at the time of this publicationón is operational úonly one Embraer 190 HC-CGF, while HC-CGG is grounded for maintenance, while the HC-COY leftó the fleet towards Costa Rica ready to return to its ownerñO.
Regardless of what the history of these aircraft was in Tame, the airínea turns the página and is now focused on a new objective that seeks recover the profitability and trust of travelers in Ecuador.
Finally, Although Tame stops operating the Embraer in Ecuador, aúWe can see for example, al Embraer 145 of Petroamazonas or the Embraer Legacy Presidential and the FAE Super Tucanos, so the presence of the Brazilian manufacturerñor in the país se maintainendrá for many toñm axisás.
¡see you forever!
Politics within aviation will end with the flag airline, They say that everything in life is cyclical, I'm sure if, politicians ended the other flag airline.
Hello, good afternoon, There is no need for the blog of the first Air Canada flight to Quito. how did it go?
It's just been published right now :)
A shame. I consider that smaller planes like the Embraer or the ATR themselves are ideal for operations in a country like Ecuador.. This would help increase frequencies to destinations like Loja, Santa Rosa, Esmeraldas, or Cuenca from Guayaquil, without having to send large underutilized aircraft. Obviously, Fees should offset operating costs to make the operation profitable.
Definitely, smaller aircraft are needed in Ecuador. However, the Embraer is a great plane, but for Tame it was expensive to operate, the ATR is excellent in costs, but with less capacity.
Because TAME doesn't disappear all at once , This company is a cangrenous wound for the body that is the Ecuadorian state.,
My way of seeing is that Tame should not disappear for the good of the market and certain exclusive routes that it still operates and no other does..
