Greetings to all, Does anyone have more information about the Tame plane crash? 20 of January of 1976, especially about the whereabouts of the surviving child named BORIS SOTO. my email is [email protected]
Hello Boris, a taste. I have no further information that it was a flight from Loja to Guayaquil..
Dear friends, it is very unfortunate that about the PLANE TAME CRASHED ON TUESDAY 20 OF JANUARY OF 1976, When Hawker Siddeley HS-748, registration FAE-683 (HC-AUE). No media tells the truth, all of them mention that "the accident was near Loja", That is not true, crashed in the Chilla mountain range near the Chilla parishes of the Pasaje canton, Paccha and Guanazan of the canton of Zaruma. ….It was NEVER near Loja, it was in the Andean mountain ranges of El Oro, his route was 215 Km from Loja to Guayaquil……my grandfather and some of his countrymen went on horseback to see the novelty and brought remains of the device…..
Do you still have those remains??
my dad was one of the 8 survivors!
Incredible, thanks for your contribution.
Excellent photographs and subsequent history of the aircraft. Sad to see at least a dozen accidents in 58 years of life; another indicator that testifies to the poor administration that the airline had throughout its existence.
Thank you Diego for your comment..
Excellent historical work of TAME. My congratulations, they bring back fond memories, So I work as Operations Manager., from 1.994 al 31 of December of 2.000.
thank you nelson, a taste.
Nicholas good night, that I know of the accident 727 at 2.002 trust the cumbal volcano, don't scream him…
Yes, It was already updated, Thank you!
interesting review, Avros and Twin Otters never belonged to Tame, but they contributed with their flights in their operation of the routes with less demand or with smaller runways.
Hi, Pablo, I do understand that although they were not part of Tame, even an Avro carried its colors, they operated for Tame, that's why they had HC registration- too, plus your FAE-
Very interesting report Nicolás, but you don't name the Boeing 727-200 brand new, bought by Roldos and baptized by Hurtado, plane that fell in the area of Ricaurte to 2 Klm. from Cuenca, in July of 1983, where they died 111 passengers and 6 Crew members due to the express fault of their Pilot, a General Retired from the FAE, last name Pena… Also DO NOT comment that TAME, was a victim of the Governments of Shift, that they got their hands on him as they pleased.
at least leash, made of TAME, its fleet of Private Aircraft for your whims, …. taking their artists to the Big Shows in the USA. UU. and Europe, to give Circus to our compatriots, leaving an outstanding debt in favor of TAME, for more than 250 millions of dollars… TAME from its Foundation never gave profits, it was a company abused by the Central Powers.
May others rest in peace of the many Ecuadorian Airlines that went bankrupt due to bad administrations, in the hands of Corrupt and Disloyal People…
That was the 737 and if you name it…
Brilliant investigation “transported” us to the origin of the plane through TAME.
Congratulations for the enthusiasm and dedication provided
And at the same time we are sad for the farewell of a good friend, who deserves a fond goodbye for his many years in the world of aeronautics.
Thank you for such a beautiful review., TAME was my second home for 10 years of my life and it was truly unforgettable.
Impressive, It is a journey through time through photos!! congratulations to both.
greetings Nicholas, I have a doubt, the Electra AZY accident occurred in Lago or was it in Macas, under the command of Franklin Garcia when taking off on a ferry flight with the engine not. 1 flagged and just in the take off he lost the No. 2.
I have the data that it was in Lago Agrio.
And, It was in Lago Agrio, that accident could have been avoided.
good morning commander, nice to greet you, that unfortunate accident was taking off from Lago Agrio.
excellent work nicholas. my sincere congratulations.
In TAME VIRTUAL, we learned to love the company.
