I think that Ecuador should promote the island of Aruba more. Much more interesting than Curacao. Personal experience. It would be a good opportunity for Equair. Years ago this route was operated by the now defunct Insel Air
I got to know Curaçao and I loved it. I think Aruba is more beach, while Curaçao is more of a city, I think it's a matter of taste.
