Historical photos of Ecuadorian aviation

Welcome to a new space dedicated to collecting historical photosórich aviation historyón Ecuadorian throughout the yearsños.

A few weeks ago two followers, one from Ecuador and another from the United States shared some photos with me úonly ones that are part of the history of aviationóecuadorian n, and it caught meó the focus with that content.

¿Whaté maybe make a post where we can upload photos of the history of aviationóecuadorian n? The idea is to gather photos that you may have in your áphoto albums or those of grandma or títo where airplanes are seen or are protagonists in Ecuador over time.

It was traditional before to have a balconyón at the airports of Quito and Guayaquil for example, from which íWe were going to say goodbye to our relatives and the first photos were taken cáThey are amazing and are truly memorable memories., that I think is worth sharing.

I always think how beautiful it would have been to have a cádigital camera in the 60s or 70s in the airports of our countriesíses, hornbeamíwe have seen incredible planesíbles that now only remain in memory, oh well, Today we are going to review the first contributions that the followers and readers of the blog have shared.

good morningías señor Larenas, As I see that you are an aviation connoisseurón, I send you this photo taken by me when I didn't evenñO, at the old Quito airport, allá for himñO 1968. I think it's a DC7 (It's really a Boeing 707). If I'm not wrong, teníto the Quito-Bogot routeá-Pointe Pitre-Paris.

How to seeá, in the background of the photo, Eastá depopulated the city, with a big difference from today.

I found your website and thought the attached pictures would be interesting to you. They feature my late father, Col. James K. Rogers, when he was one of the USAF attaches assigned to Quito from 1974-75. He’s in the middle on the first, and second from the left in the other (with the plane).
I have many fond memories of living in Ecuador for those two years.
