The Government, in coordinationón con Lima Airport Partners (LAP) and addressing the needs of the aero communityáutica (líneas aéreas, service operators, among others); has decided to reschedule the start of operations of the new Jorge Ch International Airportáturn for him 30 march 2025, in order to prioritize security, regularity and operational efficiency, alineáhanging out with theáaviation safety standardsón international civil.

I decided itón was announced on 15 from January, few días prior to what will beíand sido la inaugurationón of the 29 of this month, by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Raúl Pérez Reyes, after holding a meetingón of coordinatesón with all representatives of the aeron communityáutica: LAP, the Associationón of Transport Companies AéInternational prisoner (NOT), the Associationón International Transport Aéreo (THERE IT IS), the Investment Supervisory Bodyón in P-Use Transportation Infrastructureúblico (Ostrich) and the Urban Transportation Authority (MORE), among other actors.
“For the Government it is a priority to guarantee security, efficiency and regularity of operationséreas, in accordance with the más violas isáaviation safety standardsón civil. In that sense, We have agreed to establish a period of 60 dítest ace on air side and ground side, to ensure a safe and quality start of operations for users”, detailó Minister P.érez Reyes during the meetingón.
This additional period will allowá perform comprehensive operational tests, identify áareas of improvement, make the necessary corrections and ensure that the dealership's operational personnel, the aerosolsílines and specialized services (catering, transport, security, among others) Easté fully trained and familiar with the new terminal flow.
“Starting operations at an airport is a complex process. Thus, the opening strategy beá carefully coordinated between LAP, the DGAC of the MTC and the airport community. La próxth week, in coordinationón with the dealership and all actors involved, know how to decideá if the start of operations of the new airport will take placeá in phases or comprehensively”, recalcó the head of the MTC.
At the meetingóI don't participateó the general manager of LAP, Juan José Psalmón; the general manager of AETAI, Carlos Gutiéreg; he country manager of IATA, Martín The Rose, the president of Ositran, Verónica zambrano; and the president of the ATU, David Hernández, así as representatives of the entire aeron communityáutica.
“This change will allow usá move forward with the start-up processón, with the aim that the entire airport community is 100 % ready for operations at the new airport. Articulated work beá key in these úlast weeks and the joint commitment to a gradual start that will guaranteeá a better experience for all airport users”, highlightó the general manager of LAP.
